Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nothing quite as sad as seeing a middle aged man with the bald spot/ponytail combo.

What's the story with all the people on the stage?

They've had the meet and greet fans on the side of the stage for some recent gigs I think.

Was getting sick and tired of the BBC's lazy stereotyping of heavy metal and their fans, just because they're not a hipster/6music band.

    Sad But True!

such a strange change of dynamic to be rooting for metallica as a sort of underdog.

As Lemmy would say, at the end of the day it's all rock 'n' roll...run it up the flagpole and see who salutes it.

To my ears they are sounding quite good. Deadly to see them. Didn't know they were playing so was very happy to see it when I was channel hopping.

Did he say they were a washed out cabaret act whose drummer can't even keep time, and whose guitarist is basically just a wah wah pedal operator at this stage?

    Nevermind

    togethah... at last...like familah!

I've read Cocker's comments and in fairness he's not really having a go at all or even complaining about their inclusion on the bill.

At worst he was poking a bit of fun at the image of the average Glastonbury festival goer.

    A bit abrasive :D

The band brought out a one-off t-shirt for Glastonbury poking fun at some of the comments made about them,Cockers being one of them. Reminds me of the tour programme for the WWMR tour in 1992 which was full of snippets where they were slated for TBA.:)

TBH it'll be a complete greatest hits set as they're playing to such a mixed crowd. I'd expect something like:

    Creep
    Bellz
    Fuel
    Unforgiven
    Sad
    Master
    Sanitarium
    One
    Fade to Black
    Roam
    Fight Fire With Fire
    Memory Remains
    Battery
    NEM
    Sandman
    Blackened
    Whiskey
    Seek

This was my prediction last week, not too far off, especially as they played a slightly shortened set of 14 instead of 18 songs. This is tonights setlist.

    MAIN SET
    1. Creeping Death
    2. For Whom the Bell Tolls
    3. Wherever I May Roam
    4. Sad But True
    5. Fade to Black
    6. Cyanide
    7. The Unforgiven
    8. The Memory Remains
    9. One
    10. Master of Puppets
    11. Nothing Else Matters
    12. Enter Sandman
    ENCORE
    13. Whiskey in the Jar
    14. Seek & Destroy
