Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Escape was never intended for Ride The Lightning according to James.

Sounds more like it was exactly intended for RTL it was never intended at all would probably be more accurate not sure why he goes back on that song its well known he doesn't like it and especially considering they've released a ton of garbage that couldn't hold a candle to Escape.

On the metclub fourms there saying the Euro dates could be announced the end of the March ???

There's surprisingly not many leaks around, rumours of Paris,Lyon and Glasgow dates on the metclub forms

I just wish they would announce them so I can start planning

    Gonna try for Manchester

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,862 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Bit pissed off that there skipping Ireland but Glasgow seems the cheaper option than London or Manchester and no interest in waitng til 2018

Prob fly over the morning off the gig and back the following day, reserved a free cancellation hotel for €91 that's very near the arena

Just over €300 for whole trip (hotel, ticket, flights)

Going for Manchester, easy option from Knock.

Do you need uk address for purchasing from
ticketmaster uk or the met pre-sale?

It's all about making the cash with Metallica and for various reasons Ireland is not a lucrative option. Really disappointed as I really feel now we will never get to see them live in Ireland again. There is no way I'm traveling abroad and paying that sort of money as life is to short and they can go fcuk themselves:mad:

Is this true though? They could easily sell out 2 nights in the point. Don't see how that's different from 2 nights in other cities revenue wise..

Well tbh I don't know, but it's been nearly 10 years since we have had them here so they obviously find some reason or other to keep away:mad:

Maybe that girl who caused James to leave Instagram lives here, that's why he doesn't want to come here :p I auditioned some chick for a band I was in (and dated her once) and she said she comments on all his posts and has conversations with him. I didn't believe her until I heard rumours that some girl was obsessively commenting on his posts and constantly PMing him and this caused him to quit.

    Co-inky-dink? I think not. :pac:

My god those money grabbing VIP packages are quite expensive but you do get to meet some of the band, eat dinner in a private buffet and 2x drink tokens

The first 5 albums are their worst. I liked them as soon as they cut their hair.

Metallica do know thats near a weeks wage to most in Poland:confused:

Sitting this one out even if they play here, pure greed from a band in serious decline.

    What?

Charging double than last UK arena tour when their output isn't what it used to be is what he means. :)

Are they not in decline? I was really into them back in Ride the lightening, Justice, Black album. Got St Anger, then saw them in RDS (I think), and that was it. Practically nothing after that. Not as in making a point, or commerciality issues, just lost interest. So, just on pure hearsay, it appeared they weren't up to much since St Anger (actually including St ANger). Memory remains is a decent tune. Are Load, Reload and anything else in the past 20 years worth getting into. The new album?
