Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I hope to **** they never ever play Marley Park again.

    Agreed. Such a bad venue.

Aye, a bad venue... but I'd take it over no Irish date on the 2019 European Summer Stadium tour.

Think after much dilly dallying, next time Metallica are touring Europe, probably just gonna hop over to London to see them.

Maybe try one of the Northern Cities if they play them (Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow), better bang for your buck than London

Was lucky enough to see them on this tour already in Glasgow last Oct but be nice to see them next summer in Europe

yeah agree London can be an expensive spot, great city though

We could get an Aviva gig here, ACDC sold the plae out and it would actually get a decent crowd, next year will be 10 years since they played here and nothing beats a sunny summer day out with a major gig on and it might attract a few bandwagoners too. As you knw Metallicas management might have no interest in coming here cause it might not be profitable enough. We just have to wait and see and hoping we see Dublin on the list

I would love the Aviva. I have a contact that I can stay with on Newbridge Ave, just a 3 min walk away.

Better off getting a cheap flight and watching them in somewhere like Germany or Poland.

Manchester Arena. Awesome venue. Seen them last year there. It was my 3rd gig there (Korn and Green Day before). Great acoustics, reasonably priced accommodation and really cheap plane tickets to get there.

If I was a promoter would be behind Metallica selling me a butt load of tickets tbh, I know people are quoting lack of numbers not sell outs but 25k practically bi-annually during the 00's and not here in 10 odd years defo hype...lads I know with families now who haven't bothered with gigs for donkeys would come out of the woodwork for it.

100%... regular visitor to London and had no ideas to attend last time but they were in the city at a time I was so felt I couldn't not go. O2 not as good and ya know yerself way more expensive. London is clearly a solid city but if it's gig specific odd days I would suggest looking elsewhere tbh.

Same. **** sound and ridiculous hassle getting to/from the venue.

The Phoenix park would be somewhat of an upgrade, at least you can walk into town.

Oh god no. Indoors for me

They’ve already said that the 2019 European tour will be outdoors.

Wonder what venue they'll pick then, IF they do come here....?

I can clear that up for you... They ARE coming here, and they're playing in Slane.

Ah yes, that's perfectly understandable. It just happens that this someone on the internet knows more than you do! Your claim of Bull**** is based on nothing however, isn't it? ;)

Just couldnt see them doing such a big venue. Thats 80,000, they would be doing well to do half that.

    June?

Holy Shít, that's all the proof I needed!!!

Mr Man on the Internet has confirmed all I need to know, just by telling me a month.

    Eh ya, still vague.

Who would/could even be booked to support such a hypothetical gig?

I'm just telling ye what I know.
Make of the info what ye will !

Also, consider the following publicly known info:
Metallica are due to start their Euro tour in May and Lord Henry Mountcharles has confirmed that a major band (that has not played Slane before) is going to play an early June show.

    Could it possibly be Metallica??
(The answer is yes, 'cos they're booked to play there!) :D
