Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's no real indication of an announcement tomorrow is there? Or is it normally kept that much under wraps?

I seem to remember Slane gigs and knowing there was an announcement coming up for it, doesn't seem that way now

probably wont be an announcement, and cant see the tallica headlining either, i think the internets is having another one of those over excitement rumor attacks, but of course i may stand completely corrected tomorrow

Yeah I don't see them playing there either, I could have split it more as 2 questions; Is there a Metallica announcement and is there a Slane announcement!

I'm leaning towards no to both

    Something about Metallica?
    Something about Slane?
    Or just something?

Reading up on Ghost so it's bacisally a solo project with the singer changing identities every album. So if they do play Slane we won't get any of the old songs. The 1st and 2nd popes looked way cooler

Don't know what gave you that idea. While Ghost tend to favour the most current album on it's tour, they generally play at least one song from every album.

not a chance, they put on a good show though, so the gig should be rocking

I've had Judas Priest on the list of bands for a while, next January I'll be able to cross them off it.

Thinking about attending the Ozzy/Judas Priest gig. Saw Judas Priest last in 2009, think they've been here since but I didn't make that one. Priest are great live though. Was at the Sabbath show last year also, which was great. Ticket prices will be hefty I'd say, no info of the price on Ticketmaster.

My mam actually likes some Ozzy songs, the kind of slower tunes, might bring her for the laugh.

Would have been cool to see Priest at Slane if Metallica were to do it, fat chance of it happening now. Maybe Alice In Chains will come with them again, this waiting for the announcement is killing me. At this rate I'm going to be spending a bomb on concert tickets between now and the end of the year.

Not that hefty. Tickets are from €59 (incl booking fee.)

No chance of judas priest at slane so. The element of surprise has been removed by having them with ozzy.

Why was that? Seating tickets or something? Did it sell out even in the end? I don't think it did.

They sounded fine from where I was, I was on the floor, about 6 rows of people in front, right in the middle in front of the drummer, did think it was a few decibels lower than previous concerts I had been to in there, but not so much where I'd complain. Seeing Tony Iommi in the flesh was class, just such a calm and collected guitarist while playing these doomy evil sounding riffs.

I wish for a change that NEM and Sandman weren’t either the last 2 songs of the night or the last 2 before the encore.

They’re going to play them, we know that. But throw them in at song 6 or something and separate them.
