Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seriously? I’d doubt that very much. Foo Fighters aint a support band.

I don't know...I just have a funny feeling. You could be right though!

Where did you read the Limp Bizkit thing?

I remember an interview last year with Lars and Dave and they talked about touring together one day.

That with another 2/3 decent bands and it would probably sell out.

    are they touring next year?

Not only that but why would they go back to supporting at a venue they headlined themselves 3-4 years ago? Makes no sense.

I didn’t. Just musing it myself really.

Imagine smashing pumpkins supporting at Slane

    I'd accept that

That's a fair point, however if the €€€ is good that turns heads.

Again, I was just throwing it out there as all of the suggested bands above aren't really going to help Metallica shift any tickets.

They've had rave reviews recently - would be amazing.

Any chance System of a down would support, I'd love to see them live.

Yeah, finishing a tour in the states apparently. I'm not sure about their relationship with Metallica either, though. We'll wait and see....

ah right, soad are still touring, was unaware of that, maybe their internal band issues arent as serious as i thought, id imagine theyd have no problem sharing a stage with the tallica.

I would imagine Korn and Slipknot are more likely to be doing the festival route next year than Limp Bizkit and SOAD.

Money seems to be SOAD's driving factor. They'll do the live stuff, seem to be having massive difficulties in the studio.

Support acts will be interesting for this. Can people recommend Ghost stuff to check out? Listened to a little on Spotify, but not 100% sold.

I'd say just give Meliora a full listen a couple of times to see if it gets its hooks into you, not a very long album, spotify has the deluxe edition which has some particularly excellent songs added on too. I feel like if that album doesn't work for you then Ghost likely won't work for you.

There are so many possibilities about who will support.

We could even throw in Rammstein with their new album around the corner.

Saw them at download in Madrid last year. Amazing. Metallica and them on one gig would be unreal.

Year Zero,Ritual,Rats,Square Hammer,From the Pinnacle to the Pit are some of their staples at the moment, album wise I'd say Meliora.

Wouldn't say no to an essential drinking in a field band like Rob Zombie or Skindred chucked on there.

A7X and volbeat are being rumored, they're a bit big for Europe supports though?..

Par for the course for America, but for here?

Would be unreal just think like the Foo’s and even SOAD they are not a support band considering their stage show alone

Saw one thing saying a7x, volbeat and ghost. A7x would still do support here, and for bigger shows. Third time in a row if it is them

Whatever bout Ireland, but on the continent volbeat are huge so be hard to see that happen.

saw the same thig, but it doesnt add up in my head..

like I'd love Volbeat to do it, but they're huge in europe, unless its just the uk/ireland portion they do..
Ghost announced a tour with no Uk dates, so could be them?

    A7X.. yay?....

Once it's not Sweet Savage or Kvelertek (although they were ok in Glasgow, just want something different)

A7X- saw them supporting in Marley Park in 09 and with Disturbed last year. Ok but would rather something new to me.

Ghost- good image, ok/catchy music. Be happy if they were on the bill

Volbeat- love there music be thrilled if they were on the bill

Alice in chains- supported in Marley in 2009, very good and would be a nice addition

Others Marilyn Manson, SOAD, Bullet for my Valentine, Rammstein, Slipknot, Korn are possible but prob won't
