I am looking to put in a few speakers in the kitchen and maybe living room and have a jack comparable to mp3 players so that i can just plug it in and play music through these speakers instead of having a docking station and also having a radio using these speakers also.

I've being looking on the net recently but am having no luck finding these, does anyone have any info on them about where to find or source them as I will be putting them in myself.

EBay might be the way to go for the speakers, but make sure to read any reviews first. Make sure they're 8 ohms, not 4 ohms if you've 2 rooms to do.

You'll need a stereo amplifier (or receiver for radio) to drive them, there are loads of good ones around. Or else maybe try one of the small micro system receivers, that'd easily go on a shelf or in a cupboard:
