Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help with new car

I've had had a brutal year and a half for vehicle maintenance. I don't mind maintaining or repairing older cars but it seems that every time I have a few bob, the car needs another grand. I'm also fairly particular about my cars so endless lists of niggling problems that I never have the money to fix just drives me spare.

I've decided I just want to protect my cash flow and borrow some money and buy a car that I can expect to have few freaky maintenance issues with for a while.

I want something interesting, mid to high spec, quick and reasonably fresh with lowish mileage like 60,000 miles or less. I'd consider anything from hot hatches to estates as long as there was some kind of phwoar factor. I'm not too keen on coupes- I like practical cars. I do keep coming back to German marques. I'm not too keen on diesels, especially slow, high mileage ones but something like a diesel accord would appeal too.

So what do you think the best car I can get for €10k - €12k that would satisfy as much of my criteria as possible?
