CO2 Emissions Guide

howdy folks,

I'm thinking of upgrading the car currently have a 1.2 clio, was thinking of getting a 1.6 saloon, some ideas in my head were passat, focus saloon, vectra or jetta here is the problem, i was wondering what the CO2 emissions are on theses models as i was contemplating getting a 08 model if it works out to be cheaper road tax per year (because i will be keeping it for at least 5 years). at the moment the 1.6 pre 2008 road tax it over 400 quid.

I have tried googling "2008 cars co2 emissions guide" but am not getting very far as it is looking for the specific engine and considering i haven't made up my mind as to what model its a bit difficult.

any help appreciated.

autotrader.co.uk is handy for these, look up a used car in the year you want and check the technical data. note that specs change etc, but it should give you an idea on the emissiosns figure.

Very few 1.6 saloons went down in tax after 08.

If you're keeping it that long, you should be probably looking at a diesel.
