Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The NASA USTREAM HD stream is the best :)

I should have been there for STS-127, but with GUCP problems plaguing that launch we missed the window in June and wound up watching it in July from home. Would have been AMAZING to see one :)

NASA tend to be not as dramatic though but more importantly their stream is about 5 seconds behind SFN one..:pac: But you're right their quality is far superior.:D

100,000 viewers on the NASA stream, WOW! Fairly high considering it's almost 9am on a workday on the East Coast USA :D

    Also, T-30s...

    Here it goes!

I know, barring an utter train crash I'm going to be buzzing for the rest of the day. I wish there were shuttle launches far more frequently.:(

External Tank is away. What are the odds of the last ever separation being visible over Ireland at night time?

I know. Having grown up in Florida, with a father working out at the cape, it's been a HUGE part of my life.

It's an totally awe inspiring thing .. not without it's perils.

I witnessed, live, the Challenger disaster .. AND was in Texas, out walking my dog, and saw the Columbia disaster.

I was on the phone with my dad (who still lives in Florida) so we could share this launch "together" ..

    *sigh*

Savage stuff. Got to watch it on Sky News on a tv in work. Pity none of the passengers around took any interest in it(though their flight being 5 hours late may have contributed to their ambivalence!:pac:).

Launch looked really clean though less spectacular than normal to the cloud. Thought it was a funny feed on Sky News but the ET camera seemed over exposed on ascent until staging.

Great coverage on Boards as ever.:)

Ah LL glad you got to see it i was going to post a transcript of the post flight news conference for posterity, but even after zooming down 70% to copy and paste it was still too long............... over to you to embed the Youtube:), they were happy campers.
matter of fact because of the time BBC News 24 was the better option(no ads) Sky is just total tabloid trash now!:(

they are way ahead of schedule and payload doors are open.

It was a bit silly alright. Strange them having it. They always made out that it was a separate issue, and that it was nothing to do with Nasa.

The woman answering the questions about Giffords was the woman I met in the coffee shop in Florida. She made it out like she was a lowly aide then, but got a shock when I saw her today. Turns out she's her chief of staff. Nicely played low profile!
