Wooden Bridge is safe to drive on but I think it has a speed restriction of 10 kmh. Beach itself has boulders placed on it to deter boy racers but you can drive down to it.

Wooden bridge is grand. Lovely spot, especially if we keep the good weather.

Bridge is grand to drive on yeah. Best way is to follow the N11 down till around till Ballsbridge, then turn off down towards the toll bridge, up through East Wall, up the Alfie Byrne Road, right down the end of that, then follow the seafront down the way till the bridge. There's another road further up as well. Or just stick Bull Island in the Sat Nav as you say yourself.

You can drive to the beach, but not along the beach.

If coming from the M1 end of the M50, then the causeway might be a better destination.
==> M50 to N32 to Donaghmede to Raheny to Watermill Road.

Portmarnock is also worth a visit for a ealk along a long beach.
