    Hi,
I mentioned in a previous post that I recently got my builder to dry line my house with 50mm Xtratherm board. I had a look at the SEAI guidelines and it says the u-value should be down to 0.27 after insulation in order to get the grant. My u-value appears to be down to 0.36. Is this likely to affect the grant?

I dont think it will be a problem. I applied for and got the grant last year without any BER certification.

I don't know about that muffler, I think it says somewhere in the grant guidelines that you are supposed to be at 0.27 U. I believe the installer is supposed to comfirm this to SEI for the grant.

Who did your U value Calc for you donie? had you any insulation at all in your wall previosly, what is your full wall build up?

I just let the contractor look after everything so perhaps he did some calculations.
