teams needed for charity (amatuer) strongman competition in Potrlaoise

    On Saturday 1st May Laoise Down Sundrome Association are running a charity strongman competition with 20 4 man/mixed teams taking part.

    I must stress this is for fun and is suitable to men and women who regularly work out, exercise and play sports. Events are set to this standard.

    The events will be
    1. 40kg Farmers walk - each team member does 30 maters each fastest team wins
    2. 40kg log press - each team member must press the 40kg log over head as many times as possable in 30 sec rotations, most lifts wins.
    3. Car deadlift- all four members of the team will lift a small car as many times as possable in 60 seconds (60-70kg per person)
    4. Load and drag medley - teams must load kegs into a sled and rag it 20 meters.
    5. TBC

    As you can see this is for fun and for a great cause to enter please email gkirwan@o2.ie with the team name, contact name and details, team members names and address to send entry from to.

    This will be a great day out so why not get involved.

    i thought there would be more interest in this as there is alot of powerlifers on this site :(
