Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I read the ref that added the 6 mins stoppage time at OT last year has been drafted in as a late replacement for Bennett for today's match.

As if this match needed more spice !

Looking forward to this, hoping both teams kick lumps out of each other with 22 man brawls and Fergie and Mancini performing WWF moves on each other :D

Haha, my Prada tote would do a much better job at whacking him!!!

Realised I'm the only female here and the reference is probably lost!!

    Hehe, not all lost!

You want Ferguson and Mancini to raise awareness for the preservation of endangered species?

    This legit?

Reasonably happy if so but Bellamy's pace vs Neviller worries me.

    Rio is a big loss.

Gibson will need to impose himself more.

REALLY , hope they prove me wrong , But with all three starting we are going to struggle to stay with or even add pace to the game . Age has caught up with them sad but true ,

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,235 ✭✭✭✭flahavaj

    City going all out attack.

They've looked a far better team since they ditched the over defensiveness in midfield for a 4-4-2 in fairness to them. Fair paly to Mancini for changing things about.

    My anxiety is mounting.

Right I'm off to the official City supporters bar (yes, Perth does have one!)

Might pop in here during the game via the iPhone.

    C'MON CITEH!!!

Its not quite so bad with Giggs wide rather than in the middle of midfield though. I don't mind having Scholes in there today, calm heads are whats needed today and an ability to keep the ball.

Neville, Giggs & Scholes starting is an absolute fúcking joke.

United line up without Nani which is unusual. Gibson starting is good to see and will support Rooney well.

Scholes and Fletcher will play deep lying. I'm hopeful that the lack of driving runs form the City midfield won't expose Scholes too much.

I woulda played Rafael myself, I think Bellamy will have some fun against Neville. Big performance needed from Evans.

    Going to be fun :)

    Manchester United Team:

    GK: van der Sar
    RB: Neville
    CB: Evans
    CB: Vidic
    LB: Evra
    RM: Valenica
    CM: Fletcher
    CM: Scholes
    CM: Gibson
    LM: Giggs
    ST: Rooney

Might be worth throwing a few quid on Neville to be sent off (two yellows)
Up against Bellamy's pace it could be painful.

Why are people complaining about Scholes playing?. The alternative is Carrick and he's public enemy number 1 these days.

I don't have any stats available but I would guess that this season when these 3 have started together we've struggled badly. It's just one passenger too many in terms of pace.

Tevez starts with Utd and City

    Man City

    Starts - 28

    Goals - 22

    Man Utd

    Starts - 68

    Goals - 19

Regular run in the side does seem to make a difference.

Just noticed city have 3 up front.

Surely that leaves them badly short in midfield.

    Fletcher, Scholes, Gibson, Valencia, Giggs

    v

    Johnson, De Jong, Barry

Game could be won and lost here.

FCUK THIS GAME IS HARD TO CALL.

Bellamy left wing, Johnson right wing I think. Two up front.
