I want to locate a source for meat that I can trust. What does that mean? To me, it means the animals were raised with free access to the outdoors and to pasture. It means the animals have enough space to move around freely- and they can easily find a place to stand or sit that is not covered with manure. It means the farmer uses supplemental feed only when necessary, and never uses feed that contain animal products. It means the animals are dispatched in the most humane fashion available.

If you know of farmers or shops that offer meats that come close to this standard, please let me know.

    Thanks!
