    Guys,

Just seemed to have convinced herself to grab an 8404 off yous before they disappear.

However, we have two kids - one is 2½ the other 10 weeks and the missus is (rightly) insisting that whatever replaces our trusty 29" Sony Trinitron CRT must be fully secured to the unit it's on - which is a nice enough wooden unit with doors etc for hdd recorder / upc box etc.

Wall mounting is not an option.

So - have you any good solutions for securing a tv to a unit such as this? No great aversion to drilling holes in the top of the unit but don't think cable ties would be sufficient....

I had a big Hitachi TV and it came with a chain which you attachied (sorry :o) to the wall behind at two points.
Very secure, youd have to rip it off the wall before it would ever fall over.
Im sure you can get something like this, which would save you from drilling into your nice wood unit.

    Hi ZB

I've investigated the TV's stand and you can drill through the plastic top cove and through two holes in the metal base.

You'd then be able to bolt this down to you stand.

I'll show you what I mean when you call in today but it looks like it will be very secure once screwed to your wooden stand.

I have the TYV set aside for you.

    Cheers
    Ash
