Apologies if this has been asked in an earlier post.

    As the title says..
Can this be done ? If so any recommendations for a good cheap router

    If it pushes out ethernet

    WRT54GL... + Tomato or DDWRT

You could just use a Wireless Access Point as well, but if you need wired ports that will do nicely.

    Thanks for the reply mate

I know what an Ethernet cable is but what do you mean by pushes out Ethernet ?

Basically all I want is to be able to hook up to the internet without messy cables and wires.
I have enquired about getting UPC in but they haven't come out as far as my house yet.

A router that has ethernet WAN port instead of built in ADSL modem.

Tomato, DDWRT and OpenWRT are irrelevent (unless you want to tinker or do something odd) as all routers come with software and Tomato, DDWRT and OpenWRT are also on ADSL only routers.
