Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Both teams are going to be nervy. Both have alot to play for.

I've a feeling it's gonna be a terrible game to watch, both teams will be concentrating on not losing, rather than winning, imo.

Yeah will probably be similiar to the City vs United game. That said, both teams are fairly potent going forward.

Spurs might be a bit over run after 120 mins in FA Cup last weekend and Arsenal mid-week. So I fear the worst. Hopefully Spurs win.

Rooney, Tevez, Bellamy, Adebayor, Johnson, Valencia and Giggs/Nani aren't potent going forward?

/I'm not gonna say another word about City v Utd in this thread, just wanted to make that point.

Urgh, I misread the situation there. I was gonna lambast ye for rathering United not win the league than City finish 4th. :o

I think Chelsea could win handy, Spurs have had 2 very hard games this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Holsten

After the United result I'd bet the farm that Spurs win.

Fairly defensive from Chelsea with Drogba on his own. That how they usually line-up?

Hardly defensive with Drogba, Cole, Malouda, Deco, Lampard and Zhirkov in the team.

We play better with 1 up top.

Ivanovic and A. Cole on the bench BTW.

Can I just ask all the United fans wishing for a Spurs win today NOT to follow our defeat (should that happen) with a load of old sh1te along the lines of "well done Spurs, bottled that one" just because it makes it that bit harder for you to win the league? We're not taking to the pitch this evening to do you any favours.

I would have said that about Spurs anyway as it pretty much sums up my feelings towards them tbh.

I thought Harry would make more than 2 changes from the Arsenal game, tiredness could be an issue for us today but looking at the bench I guess he didnt have many options to change things around.. COYS

No harm in that for neutrals, but not when it's at the expense of Champions League qualification for your team surely?

Either way, I got it mixed up. I was thinking for a minute there that a Chelsea win was bad for Man City. :pac:

Seriously lads this thred has gone way way off topic.....

First 5 minutes gone now, much as you'd expect the game to go with chelsea being the away team, first real save had to be made by gomes, from guess who, malouda, he is on the form of his life ATM...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

Was a great save by Gomes. Malouda sure fired it quick!

I'm torn myself, I want Chelsea to win the league but and Spurs to get the CL spot. I guess a Spurs win would be good.

Good stop by Gomes there, that ball was going all over the place!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,405 ✭✭✭Lukker-

Already 2x as good as the United City game.

Im guessing Spurs vs Chelsea isnt the easiest choice to make as an Arsenal fan. To quote Dylan Moran:

"I'll just have to hope when I flip the coin it somehow explodes and kills me."

    :)

Yeah, I generally prefer not to have to favour anyone except Arsenal!
