Where did the first one happen?

A 31-year-old man has been held overnight for questioning in connection with a murder in Cork city.

The body of 25-year-old Lee McCarthy was found behind a house in Gurranabraher early yesterday morning.

Liam McCarthy, a native of London who had been living in Cork City for some years with his family, was found dead yesterday.

His body was discovered in a shed behind a house on St Rita's Avenue in Gurranabraher just after half six in the morning.

He had been beaten and stabbed to death.

A 31-year-old man was arrested and held overnight at Gurranabraher garda station.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who saw anything unusual in the area of Granfather's Road or St Rita's Avenue between 5-7am yesterday morning to contact them.

Said on the radio earlier it may have been a botched burglary but not 100% for definite.

Said on the news that this guy that was assaulted died earlier.

Very sad day for Cork, two violent deaths in such a short space of time.

it didnt say anything about the polish mans background but the other guy was living in a hostel and had been a heroin addict,
he is claiming it was self defence,
it is tragic though regardless of the circumstances

I've been hearing rumours that he was hassled for money and then got attacked. If that's true then it looks like like this place is going to turn into a crime ridden dump like Dublin.

That's what comes with being a capital city unfortunately..

this place is going to turn into a crime ridden dump like Dublin.

If the H takes any more of a hold Cork will be in serious trouble. If you look around especially during the day in town there is quite a presence of the living dead shall we say.
