We have an old HP Vectra 400 and we bought were given a stick of ram from an exactly identical PC .

However , when we install the 2nd stick of RAM , the PC will not boot up .

Is there some changes to be made in set-up - F2 , to make this extra ram work ?

It says taht the ram passed the test

How was the ram handled? did you take precautions for static damage? Ram can be wrecked very easily if you're not careful.

Twas a friend of mine installed it and I did'nt see him take precautions , so maybe the stick is damaged with static .
