Are you for real ... Barbara striseand ... after the last trick she pulled up bin dublin ...

She charged upwards of 120 euros per ticket ,, she preformed less than 4 songs ,, left the event cause of "" rain ""

And to this day has yet to refund or apologize to her fans

Pink is up next isn't she?

Would love to see Springsteen in Limerick.

Other names that would be cool to see in Limerick, imho, would be Muse, Iron Maiden, or a line up for a one day festivel with five or six decent sized acts playing.

Would also love to see some main event boxing in TP.

Muse, their stage show would look spectacular in a stadium setting.

Or a WWE event, weather permitting.

Im with you on Springsteen, ive seen him a few times live and without doubt nobody comes remotely close. Three hours non stop, no breaks etc.

    Sensational stuff.

Other than that i'd like to see Manchester United play Thomond Park :)

I imagine it would be big enough for AC/DC. Ahh to hear Thunderstruck belting out across the Limerick skyline with 20,000 people on backing vocals, or getting chills to the loud gongs before Hells Bells. :D

Yep AC/DC would defo work for me at TP. :)

    I thought about Phil Collins,

but "AC DC", is a very good idea. :)

I think that Limerick need a David Copperfield as well.:D

Tickets available for the Ospreys match on Saturday right now.

Or did you mean you have no interest in the Magners League and cant get Heineken Cup tickets?

The only time TP sells out is for the Heineken Cup and Leinster in the ML.

They should hold hangings and public floggings there for the scallys!

Kings of Leon, Muse or Neil Young. I doubt thomand park will bring acts of this quality to Limerick. If you want the big gigs it's always a spin up the N7 to Dublin :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Argh, it's 'thomond', not thomand.

Apologies but it drives me nuts.

With regards to an event, I'd love to see a EPL club (bar Liverpool of course :p) play a pre-season game there.

Lets get Crystal Swing into Thomond Park!!! :p

That was the really crafty bit, get all the old Folks in the locality sitting out in the front lawn reminiscing about when they were young and singing along to the Golden Oldie stuff.... No PR trouble, no angry Residents, no problems for the Promoters.

Next thing you know - BAM! They'll have 7 day long Metal Festivals where the Residents spend the week wading through rivers of vomit and can't sleep at night cause of guitar solos, crashing drums and screams from the on-Stage sacrifices :D

It would be fantastic if they could get the Wolfe Tones to reform.
I'm sure a one off "reunion" concert would easily sell out Thomand Park.
