    Someone farted. Shook the ground.

Haha! No, honestly, nothing drove by. I'm close to Corrandulla. Me and my BF were sitting at the table having lunch when there was a loud noise and a slight shake as though a really big truck was driving by the house seriously fast (I was looking out the window, there wasn't!), and then my dog and all the neighbours dogs started barking like mad!
My friend was at work in the city and felt it too so I know I can't be going mad!

I thought animals could feel earthquakes before, not afterwards.
Is there a quarry in the area that may be using explosives?

Didn't notice anything usual in the west of city. Maybe the bankers are blasting for gold;)

Now that you mention it, there is a quarry a couple of miles away from me....but that doesn't explain how my friend felt it too.....
    I must investigate!

Roadstone blasting seems to be the logical reason for this. How far are you from a quarry?

I think there's one about 2/3 miles away from me, it was most likely that! I haven't experienced anything like this before, and have been living in this house for over a year and a half, but it is the most logical explanation!! :D

At least its not an earthquake, was afraid for a while there the volcano in Iceland was causing cracks in our tectonic plate!!! lol!

I use to live in a place in Castlebar by a Quarry. The force was unbelievable of the blasts...would shake the entire house.

You beat me to it. AFAIK it used to be around 16.40 on Tuesdays. That time was set in stone by the boys in blue, as they had to be on standby in case any local provos came by.:D
