Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you mean the valve, its an easy repair. They will just fit a new valve. That is not connected to the tyre itelf

the bit where it joins to the side of the tire.
like if somewas to try and snap the whole valve/ nossel off the tire.
    tis cracked all around it.

Value is not attached to the tire.

Valve is held in place by a band of rubber on tubeless tires, or in the case of a tire fitted with a tube, the valve is part of the tube.

in both cases, the valve stalk can be damaged. It's an easy fix for for both.

Tubed tire: New tube is fitted.

Tubeless tire (most common these days), damaged valve is removed, new valve fitted.

Both require the tire to be partially removed, so you should go to a tire fitter

The rubber valve stem is attached to the wheel rim, not the tyre. When the rubber gets old they often crack and leak.
They're easy to replace by a tyre shop, many places routinely fit a new one whenever you buy and fit new tyre.
