Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Barclays Premier League
Venue: Anfield Date: Monday, 19 April 2010 Kick-off: 2000 BST

Reasons to be cheerful. Not many. But we walk on. Torres is out but hopefully we can finish out the season on a high.
Thankfully we are spared a night of 3e coverage. Game on ESPN.

We need a win to pull away from Everton.

Torres out is terrible news for us.

Score draw or a scrappy one goal win for Liverpool.

give us something to be a bit proud of over the next few weeks.

    it's been a tough season.

    2-0 Liverpool (Gerrard and Babel).

    Am I missing something ?
Dirk Kuyt returns to Liverpool's starting line-up in the absence of the injured Fernando Torres against West Ham United at Anfield tonight - a game you can listen to live online from 8pm.

The Dutchman will support David Ngog in attack, while there are also starts for Lucas Leiva and Yossi Benayoun.

Javier Mascherano, Alberto Aquilani and Ryan Babel drop to the bench.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Agger, Maxi, Gerrard, Lucas, Benayoun, Kuyt, Ngog. Subs: Cavalieri, Aquilani, Babel, Mascherano, Degen, El Zhar, Ayala.

Aquilani and Babel on the bench makes Tusky a sad panda.

    Reina

    Johnson---Carra---Kyrgiakos----Agger

    Lucas---Gerrard

    Maxi
    Kuyt
    Yossi

    N'Gog

Mother of divine fúck will we ever get to see enough of Aquilani to actually form an opinion on him as a player!! :(

I know - its brain numbingly frustrating. At home with practically nothing to play for it in the league. To West Ham. A team that like to play football. A team 4th from bottom.

I cant think of a reason for him not playing and it really has been a waste of money in the context of this season. We all know that on Thursday it will be Masch and Lucas in the middle as we are playing away.

No way. I saw the 1st team that was posted and I went and stuck a few bob on Aqua to score 1st goal!!!

Defintely would rather see him have started that Ngog.

    From Guardian

1963. John F. Kennedy assasinated. Dr No, the first James Bond film, screens in US cinemas. Pope John XXIII dies. Pope Paul VI succeeds him. The Great Train Robbery takes place in Buckinghamshire. Marvel Comics releases the first ever X-Men comic book. Alec Douglas-Home succeeds Harold Macmillan as Prime Minister. The Beatles' second album, With The Beatles, is released. Barcelona bring their coach journey to reach Milan for their game against Inter tomorrow. And West Ham win at Anfield, beating Liverpool 2-1 thanks to goals from Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters.

I liked Aquilani at Roma. Rafa obviously liked him too. But not any more it seems. Something is clearly not right there.

Text this back to him. "[name of your brother], you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend, you're not a liverpool fan. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the hotels, I don't want you near my house, I dont want to see you near Anfield".

OR just text him "Know your stuff before texting next time."
    Simple.

Well I suppose he did have ten out of the eleven right. Plus at my 6'3 I am smaller than the bugger so will have to wait until his back is turned. :)

Dunno about that - he's impressed me two or three times when he's been given a chance, he certainly looked to be playing his way into contention for the remaining games this season - as SlicRic said - tonight's made for him and it's a pain in the balls seeing him on the bench :(

Gerrard seems a bit happier than usual. Normally looks very tense in the tunnel.

A fair proportion of those seats would be supporters groups who cant make the game due to the volcano id guess.

Aquilani is still going to need time to settle in to the premier league because he's not getting chances in games like this. FFS
