Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Happy with the scoreline but must say that West Ham look like a relegation team.
Think pretty soon that Zola will be signing on the 'dola' . Sorry...bad joke!

    Bit strong, no?

Awful goalkeeping and defending I thought.

Did well to get in the position though.

This is a real zombie game.
Was a good finish regardless. But yeah the game has entered into zombie mode

Thought he could have knocked it anywhere but straight at the keeper to be honest. I think the movement was miles more impressive then the finish.

Spurs and City to lose their next two games by the way.

Rewound back and looked at the Ngog goal.....it was a very good finish.
Do you reckon he will be a class player or not...I still haven't made my mind up!

Decent first half apart from some sloppy pases, terrible heading, slow tracking back (thats for noodler)

I definitely think he will be playing at top level for a long time. Once he gets a few goals under his belt he has potential to be a very good striker.

West Ham are going to get slammed on here and in the media for their first half performance, but really - the only difference between what they have produced or what Fulham achieved is that Liverpool have stuck away their couple of chances tonight.

Both teams turned up with the intention of parking the bus and defending, and to base an assessment of their performance on whether Liverpool execute effectively or not in front of goal is pretty silly.

Ah well, lol football and all that.

    Why do you say that?

    Unfounded optimism.

West Ham call that parking the bus? I don't think that would ever work there players don't have the right mentality to do that

To be fair West Ham quite like the idea of playing football but are serverly lacking motivation cos they probably look at the run in and think (correctly) thay no matter how lacklustre they are Hull nor Burnley will catch them.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,445 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

What an awful first 45 minutes from us. Defence is all over the place. Why Spector keeps playing is beyond me. He's bad enough in his usual right back position. I can't see how Upson will have the slightest chance of going to South Africa the way he's playing. Need to get Diamanti on. At least he can deliver a decent ball.

The only good thing from the first half was our fantastic fans :D

That is an amazing mentality to take I have to say.

Decent first half. All a bit easy but nice to have taken a couple of the chances to make it safe. West Ham are very poor, but luckily for them Hull, Burnley and obviously Portsmouth are that bit worse so they will end up 16th/17th.

Always liked West Ham anyway, so hope they do stay up and sort themselves out during the summer.

Usually I'd argue but you're bang on there :D
It'll be a travesty of justice if we manage to stay up. I suppose if we do, it'll make up for when we went down with 42 points in 2003.

You are forgetting a great corner for the greek to miss that sitter. In fact, if agger and skrtel could finish a fkin header between them this season gerrard would have at least 10 more assists.

You're right. If he keeps that up for the remaining EL games it will be just about worthwhile suffering his open play and general demeanour. :)

Ye are pretty brutal...but are just lucky enough that there is 3 worse teams around this season. It will be West Ham 17th, just try sort it out in the summer or else maybe it will be those teams for ye in 2011/12.

Livepool 3 - 0 West Ham, but should be 7 or 8 - 0 if the peno shouts had been given and the misses not missed

I think we need a new manager.....

    *Waits patiently*

Anyway, I'd rather NOT be in the Europa next year. It has a crappy impact on league form.

Cos he has never actually done anything in a game before for this bandwagon love of him to be actually justified.

    There, I said it.
