Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

What can anyone tell me about having your gmail chat blocked ? Does it affect receiving emails from other gmail users ? I'm awaiting some important emails and was wondering if this could be a problem

Can you still access GMail via the web browser? If so Gtalk being blocked wont effect delivery of mail.

Gtalk being blocked shouldn't block browser gmail at all. Gtalk uses ports 5222 or 443 on TCP or UDP on any port. Gmail through your browser uses the customary port 80 for http.

Odds are good your admin has blocked the above ports and/or UDP, which won't affect gmail through your browser. Assuming you can access gmail, that isn't affected.
