I collected and completed 5 Merlin Premier League albums between '94 and '00. Also have the '94 and 2002 Star World Cup albums. Jesus the lengths one would go to, to get that unobtainable sticker you were missing from the album. I remember having to pay one guy in the school yard £10 for Norwich's Carl Bradshaw, the sticker i needed to complete my album. That was a lot of money for one sticker in 1995! In later years i even went to the Merlin's swap shop that came to the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght to complete my collection. Still though, i wouldn't trade those albums or my callcards for the world. Great memories

No one else doing it? Its fairly class tbh, you get a new packs at 11 every night. The joy of opening them is lethal and it has the book and you get swaps as well it deadly Its on the Fifa website as well in case anyone thinks its dodgy.

What happened to the days when you'd go in with 50p and you'd get 2 packs at least? I miss those days.

Me and a few of the lads in the office started collecting these a few weeks ago - and it's since completely taken over. Taking early lunches to go buy stickers, excel sheets to organise swaps etc.

It reached a nadir during the week when, swapping in the pub, a regular came up, felt incredibly jealous, ran out and bought an album and 100 packets of stickers

I still have that, came across it when I was moving house last year.

Easily the best world cup album.

I still have that glorious binder sitting in a place of honour atop a bookshelf. It's that amazing. It's empty though I had every sticker and all at the time.
