    Just a quick question, how long does the spotting last when a dog is in heat?

    The spotting can last anything from 3 to 5 days, as far as i can remember. It is also very important to note the it is also the days following the spotting that you should be mindful of her. When the straw coloured discharge is present it is then that she would be willing to stand for a male dog.
