Yes its true Limp Bizkits star has waned. The genre of new metal has waned since the hey day of 2000-2003.The likes of Staind Limp Korn Creed Deftones are no longer topping the charts but even when they were, these bands were being accused of 'Selling Out'.So NO.... they cant win!!

This is all irrelevant to the discussion here IMO. Anything and everything can and does top the charts at some point.
For all mocking the 'talentless' Fred Durst,a man who is now a Hollywood film director and a vice prseident at Interscope Records and is pretty much made for life,i think he has pretty much done well from his limited talent.

So he's such a talented musician that he became a film director and runs a record label? Haha!
He pretty much made the hole nu metal genre of the early noughties.

He invented a style of crap music. So what?
Chocolate starfish is still the fastest selling rock album EVER!!Look it up.

If 50 Cent started calling himself a 'rock' artist then you can be sure he would have the new record for fastest selling 'rock' album.

But for all the people who grew up with Limp in there teens (which includes me) and has pretty much moved on in our musical tastes (Snow Patrol,The Coronas,Florence and the Machine) i think that no one can begrudge us a chance to re live a part of our teens.Bring the beat back.

You're not reliving your teens, you just still like it. And fair enough! Everyone's just voicing an opinion here.
And also I dont think a band who are singing about Doing it all for the Nookie are trying to be serious or make a Bono or Chris Martin type political statement.Limp Bizkit are what they are.People hate Fred.People hate Bertie Aherne.people hate God.

Sure, Fred Durst doesn't want to save the world like Bono the giant turd, but I don't think they are into their own music either. I mean come on..who could possibly play stuff like that for the love of it.
There are alot of haters. For the lucky people who get to see Limp Bizkit you will not be dissappointed. Look up youtube. They will tear up the olympia and do it one last time.

I don't have to look it up.. I was alive when these clowns where ruining rock and metal the first time around. Thanks to nu metal punks like Limp Biscuit, I overheard someone who thought bands like Metallica were 'rappers'.

When I tell people I'm really into metal, I'd hate them to think I was referring to LB.
"I'm only human it's so easy for your friends to give you their advice

they'll tell you just let it go (let it go) it's easier said than done

I appreciate it i do but .....just leave me alone

leave me alone...................... just leave me alone

    and nothing's gonna change

    'cause you can go away
and i'm just gonna stay here and always be the same
    and nothing's gonna change
    'cause you can go away
and i'm just gonna stay here and always be the same
    and nothing's gonna change
    'cause you can go away
    and i'm just gonna staaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy."

Haha! Reliving your teens my arse! You're stuck there! :pac:

People hate everyone. Nobody is immune to having people hate them. LB's reaction to their haters is brilliant, they just dont give a ****. Too right for them

Hehe, that's because they don't stake their sense of self-worth on people liking them, because they already know how crap it is! They just want a quick buck.

To say I'm not a fan of Fred Durst would be a complete under statement, however when i was in my early teens, LB's "music" (or whatever you want to call it) had a big affect on me. Me and my friends would always listen to their albums and have so much fun "rapping" or singing along, whatever. We are all in our early 20's now and some of us have drifted apart as you do when you grow older. I bought my ticket immediately when i heard this gig was announced in the hope that i will be able to relive some of those great memories. My close friends did the same individually, we are now all going to go together, get hammered and have the time of our lives.

    I can't bloody wait.

For me it honestly doesn't matter how cheesy or cringeworthy lyrics are in a song or the lifestyle about individual band members, its about how the music makes you feel, and listening to "My Generation" live in a small venue with my friends is going to make me feel awesome.

Damn I only found out about this gig today, hope im not too late to get a ticket, I am delighted with this news!

****ing love limpbizkit, still wear my Chocolate Starfish hoodie although it's a much faded shade of black these days.

From what I have read, they have only announced three tour dates. Dublin, Madrid and Barcelona, so can't believe im lucky enough to live 5 minutes from this venue!

Anyone supporting them? Wouldn't say no to Korn!

Fred if your reading this - please play my fave LB track - 'Crack Addict', and tell DJ Lethal to do a 10 minute turntable solo!

Ok i'm gonna pop into Ticketmaster in Ilac today and see what tickets are left (if they are open today being a bank holiday and all). I havn't been to the Olympia before, whats the capacity? And is it still a good view from the circle?

I noticed someone on ebay is selling 3 standing tickets at 75 squid each, will be a last resort if sitting seats are all gone.
