Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys im new to boards.ie. Im looking for your help about a bike im thinking of buying...my first

Im 24, 6'1, 100kgs (might be useful!) and im thinking of buying a Kymco Venox 250cc

Does anyone know anything about the bike that i should know about? it seems to be very clean and has low milage. Would there be a problem servicing the bike?
    Bike is a yellow reg.

    Just googled it.

There are loads of better bikes out there IMO.
And they would be on irish plates, so no hassel of paying VRT, getting a new reg plate, etc.

    What about something like this:

I would get a bike made by one of the big jap four(ymaha,suzuki,honda,kawasaki)..

unknown brands will be a nightmare to get parts for.

Kymco scooters are very popular in other parts of the world, even the US. They have a good rep for quality too, they're by no means the usual chinese junk - they're a Taiwanese company really (technically Chinese I know, but). They build the engines for the BMW G450X, and have built bikes and engines for Honda.

But...if they don't have much of a dealer network here, you'll always have the worry of parts being hard to find.
