Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any recommended places to go to capture the colourful sunsets of late?

Somewhere northern side of Dublin would be best.

With the way the sun is, and I know it won't last, but I'd like to try and get a sunset or two.

There's a quarry in Dalkey where you can see a lovely view of Dublin.
I was there last week and the view was amazing.
There was a lovely sunset while I was there too. :)
I know you preferably want somewhere on the North side, but this place is worth a visit.
It's only about a 10 minute walk from the Dalkey Dart station.

Not the best picture, but here's a look at the view.

Howth is a great spot for sunsets, either along the pier or if you walk up past teh pier and along the cliff walk. Really is a stunning spot. Or you can head up to dear park and you have a view of the city as the sun sets.

Or head into Clontarf. Depending on the time of year, you can have the sun setting behind the city and you have a great view of it from the waterfront with poolbeg in the distance as well.

The Deer Park in Mount Merrion, great views over the city and setting sun.

related to this guys, im looking at getting a nice (close up-ish) shot of the poolbeg chimneys. can anyone recommend a good location with a possible sunset/sun rise accompanying them?
    thanks

I've gotten some great shots of Poolbeg from Dun Laoighaire East Pier.

use the TPE app to determine where the sunset will be in relation to the chimneys...

Also, you may be able to get a shot in town somewhere...
