THE EVENT OF SUMMER 2010 IS HERE

    Velvet Electro Presents…

    Wolfgang Gartner

Bellingham Castle, Bank Holiday Sunday 2 May 2010

Irish revellers are in for a special treat on Bank Holiday Sunday 2 May when Velvet Electro fly American electro/tech-house star Wolfgang Gartner into the beautiful surrounds of Bellingham Castle for his debut Ireland performance.

Situated just south of Dundalk the 17th century castle opens four rooms of lush sounds and sexy décor for this hotly-anticipated event.

And with a plethora of Ireland’s finest DJing exponents and upcoming stars offering support it may just be the coolest show of the year.

Gartner, aka Joey Youngman, has been producing music from he was just 11 years old.
It was 2003 when the cool kid from California caught his break and started making inroads in the house music scene.

Youngman’s early discography boasted releases and remixes on dozens of respected house labels including Tango, Om Records, Naked Music, Doubledown, and his own imprints Fetish Recordings and Jackin Tracks.

He donned a slew of production aliases including Mario Fabriani, White Collar Criminals, Frequent Fliers and other colourful guises that helped to spice up an exceedingly frequent and very successful release schedule and global DJing career.

Within one year Gartner achieved three Top 10 singles on Beatport, received ‘Essential New Tune Of The Week’ on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show and landed two video game licenses.

Constantly in pursuit of fresh ideas and concepts, Gartner recently astonished and thrilled electro fans with sample-heavy tracks like ‘Fire Power’ and his rework of Beethoven’s fifth symphony, which he titled ‘Wolfgang’s Fifth Symphony’.

Gartner’s remix of Tiesto’s ‘I Will Be Here’ at the end of 2009 further catapulted the talented producer upwards on the electronic music ladder of superstardom and he now sits as one of the most in-demand artists on the planet with forthcoming gigs in USA, Brazil, UK, France, Belgium, Germany and beyond.

Irish revellers can expect an exhibition of true musical genius when he takes to the stage in Bellingham Castle.

Velvet Electro presents the debut performance of Wolfgang Gartner at Bellingham Castle on Bank Holiday Sunday 2 May. Support is set across four rooms of sound and is supplied by Irish favourites John Gibbons, Jay Kay, Nigel H, JP Stanfield, Mush, Turbine and many more.

Tickets, priced at €25 plus booking fees, are on sale now via www.ticketmaster.ie, Bellingham Castle and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

Buses are running from Dundalk, Dublin City Centre, Swords, Balbriggan and Drogheda. Telephone Jim on +353 (0) 872550419 for details.

Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dundalk is running a special rate for those attending the show – double/twin rooms including breakfast cost just €80 (quote ‘Bellingham Castle’ when booking). A return shuttle bus service is in operation from the hotel and costs just €6.
