Social Welfare Longterm Rental ???

hi all

quick question , ive been offered a really good job overseas but i have a house with a mortgage that i dont wanna sell , but wont be here ( if i go ) to pay the mortgage

do the social welfare rent properties off people for longterm ie 3-5 years ??? if so anybody any information or link to information ??

if they dont i could look into estate agents etc but would rather leave it to the social as im sure they'd always find people to live there , were as estate agents wouldnt always have people.

if i can't rent it longterm then i wont take the job

There is the RAS Scheme administered by the County Councils

Although from what I hear it does take a little time to set it up

Generally speaking, the state does not actually rent the property for the duration of the RAS contract. They are buying the right to put a tenant in it, which is a different thing. Be sure to understand the details of what they are offering fully.
