Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    on average?

I do over 50 every day and sometimes even 100:eek:

I think thats a lot. Thats just getting to and from work/college and visiting a few friends.
edit: well its more than a few friends its between doing shopping, banks, etc that sort of thing. But still... 100 miles a day!! Is that even that bad!?

It depends. I do a lot of driving for work. Averages out at around 1,000km per week.

All the people with pre-05 cars would still be used to miles I reckon.

What amazes me is weather forecasts and news reporting are still using miles.

6 miles in total to and from work. But I end up doing about 190 miles a week from all the driving I do at the weekends.

Yep - counting miles on the clock alright.

100 is a huge amount imo. I hate when I do that much - it's too much imo. I always worry that the mileage on my car will be sky high when I'm finished with it

Less than 20 miles a day now I'm working in Cork again, was only doing about 4 or 5 miles a day when I was in Galway but then I used to travel up and down at the weekends.

On average (dividing my weekly driving) I do roughly 100km to 120km a day (7-800km per week). Never realised it was that much actually. Think my next car may need to be a diesel!!!!

    probably 1k+ per week.

76 miles a day round trip to the office, then depends on what needs doing at work.

Put €30 in near work on Tuesday morning and my fuel light will probably come on before I hit the motorway on the way home tonight.

Bit of a shock after not driving my car for about 3 weeks before Tuesday. Most fuel effecient way of driving is to use somebody else's car and fuel :p

I'm doing 105 miles a day for the last 12 years. Some days can be a bit more and all that is just to get to and from work!

Getting sick of it lately tbh but nothing I can do.

On another note I serviced a car for a collegue 3 yrs ago and mentioned it to her recently did she service it since and she said no she hadn't done the milage I'd indicated so went out to look at the car and she less than 1,000 miles done in 3 yrs!!! (She hates driving she said!)

82 miles in total commute each day to work so 410 miles per week excluding the weekend trips.

I love driving though and wouldn't change a thing.
Also helps that I have a nice comfy Accord with a nice bit of grunt (2.2L).

I can walk to work at the moment so dont drive most days monday to thursday. I head home a good few weekends so thats 270 miles return and I suppose about another 50 miles or so driving around at home.

If I dont head home then maybe only 10 or 15 miles at the weekend unless I head off somewhere else.

Up until the last year I suppose I would have done at least 30 miles a day.

    50miles a day... less at wekends. 1 tank (€60) lasts me 2 weeks:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,372 ✭✭✭bladespin

60 (or so) miles per day, about 96km if my metric conversion holds up :p

Think it's a bit high but what can you do? That's my work commute and weekends constist of driving all over the palce to visit parents, shopping etc.

A tank (around 55l) lasts nearly 2 weeks on the Alfa :D Cannot tell you how inpressed I was with that.
