Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As the title suggests, Im having a problem installing this CD.Getting an error report near the end of installation....

    C:\Program Files\The Offical Driver Theory Test (4ht edition)\Data\Question\Data\Voices\BWO115-en.mp3

An error occured while trying to copy a file
    Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

    Options are...to Abort\Try Again\Skip(not reccomended)

If any one can shed any light on this it would be much appreciated:D

And mods...if it gets no results here could i ask for it to be moved to some techy forum?

click skip. And if that doesn't work, reboot and try reinstall it again.

Bad CD or damaged block on HDD. Run a HDD check. Make a copy (ISO) od CD and burn it to a blank. Try install from new CD.

You cant copy the driver theory CD. Its seriously protected!

What type of protection? CloneCD, Alcohol may help you (if you have a compatible drive). ClonyXXL will help in finding the protection type. I assume you have bought the CD and all is legal.

Did a HDD check (had to google how to first :p)

    Some of what came up:

    Warning! F parameter not specified.
    Running CHKDSK in read-only mode.

CHKDSK is verifying files < stage 1 of 3>...
    File verification completed.
CHKDSK is verifying indexes < stage 2 of 3>...

Then it says its deleting about 50 or 60 index entrys

    deleting index entrys.....blah, blah, blah
    index verification completed.

Errors found. CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode.

Thats all really.....now, tell me what all that means??:p

Tell me if i need to do anything else etc etc..thanks!

I'll have a go with the CD on my cousins PC tomorrow if i get a chance, to see if thats the fault.

Return it and tell them the error. Ask them to install it themselves if they're not satisfied.
