More good news on the Aussie front from sky, they're showing all the Origin matches live and are also starting a weekly NRL round-up show. Starting Thurs May 6th....They'll also show the NRL grand final in October.

Nice one, at least they're making an effort now. :)

Israel Falou out of the ANZAC day test, he has had an injury this season but his current form is still better than whats about, needing a specialist goal kicker or not, do you think they (the ARL) are suspending his rep career until he puts pen to paper

Looking forward to this. Sadly in the absence of sky I'll be catching a stream. Should be good. It's not Origin but should provide a few thrills.

NZ looking weak on paper, missing alot of big names..no Vatuvei,
Moimoi, Asotasi among others. Hope its competitive...

He's a monster. Saw him in the flesh at the 4 nations game against the Roos at the stoop...some of the hits he put in were astonishing.

Pissing rain in Melbourne which has all but limited the game.

Steve Matai puts Slater on his back resulting penalty Brett Morris goes in the corner form a grubber through.

Sensing the Roos are getting ready to run away with this one. Tbh, the Kiwis are doing well to be anyway near the pace so complete is the Australian dominance.

*edit* shows what I know...dogged, gutsy stuff from the Kiwis, no idea how they managed to stay in that game and in the end they managed to frighten the life out of the Roos. If they had a few more front-line players in that squad I reckon they could have put one over the Aussies. Two tries a piece, only difference the goal kicking in the end...

Never ceases to amaze me how the Kiwis can consistently compete with the RL superpower that is the Australians.

Well with Goodwin out they were always going to find it hard at kicking the goals, does Luke even kick for Souths?

Kiwi's definitely showed alot of heart today and never let the Roo's step up into their world beating gear. Thought though that Inglis looked disinterested and Lyon is as one dimensional as it gets really! Hayne yet again is a wasted talent on the wing doesn't get enough touches needs to step into first receiver more often.

+1, absolutely spot-on. Perhaps a reflection of the embarrassment of riches the aussies have?

Conditions weren't great, it always rains in Australia, must be a miserable place to live!!!

Junior Sa'u is a big unit isn't he, thought he had a good game, Kiwis generally kept it close. I think England have a bit of work to do before the WC, but Australia weren't as good as I was expecting.

Silverwood was a bit annoying but I think its important that international RL has neutral refs.

I reckon the pom brought the rain with him :D:D

Seriously though, I thought he did a good job today.
