Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't know, I think I'm watching a completely different match to Roy Evans and a couple of you lads. I think we have worked hard since the goal - lots of tough individual plays all over the park - and have looked more than likely to score a goal (**** it - WE DID score).

    jesus this is awful ****e.

I disagree. NGog IMO looks lost and isolated.

I'm sick to **** of the formation TBH. Any game Liverpool play, no matter whos fit its 4-5-1.

Cool, glad we got that boxed off.

Im with Roy and the other posters here. We are just too laboured at the moment. Hard work is all well and good but again we have given their keeper little to do.

    Ok-so we're agreeing. You lied :D

We've done ok after a very poor start tbh - anybody else think Johnsons not playing particularly well or is it just me?? (awaits hilarious post saying "it's just you") I know Aggers not a natural left back but we really miss Insua going forward imo

    Come on Atleti!

    (nothing against Pool btw)

Johnson put in some good crosses and forced the issue at times, nearly got in behind from a slightly wayward Gerrard pass. He's done fine. Masch hasn't.

I just cant recall when we started a game not playing 4-5-1 so if i lied it wasn't intentional :pac:

Just looking at the replay there, that ball from Lucas to set Gerrard through was ferocious!

I think Masch has been working his bóllox off tbh - misplaced a few passes (facepalm after remembering his crossfield "pass" to Johnson) apart from that he's leading by example - great ball to put Gerrard through on goal earlier too.

people are aware that we're away from home in a european semi-final against a good side? I'm not doubting that we could do with a bit more urgency, but we're doing ok.

Gerrards volleyed effort?? Coulda sworn that was Masch

I am expecting the Pool to be more up for it in this half, to be more positive. At least 2 away goals, maybe a 2-2 draw, I will be happy with that.

i'd love to have a heskey type player to be up front for us. genuinely think if we'd someone who could just hold up the ball longer we'd batter this bunch.

The players dont have the confidence to play to eggnogs feet in advanced positions imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Lucas playing in some nice passes...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Positive start to this half. There is definitely a goal there for us, we are getting men free from the midfield five and fullbacks in their final third repeatedly.

Much better from the pool now

I think Lucas has a better pass on him than people give him credit for. IMO, he looks like he could turn into a really useful attacking player breaking from midfield. He can certainly play those defense splitting through balls!!

    Babel coming on??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

    Babel on for N'Gog...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,588 ✭✭✭daithijjj

Id like to see babel come on in the next 15 mins, a bit of pace/strength to turn the defender and hopefully create a chance or two that way. Ngog shouldnt be picking the ball up 30 yards from goal being our only striker either like just happened, we have no outlets to play to.

    edit.....nice, get on ryan.

    Forlan that was terrible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

    That was horrendous from Masch.

Thankfully Forlan did just as poorly with the consequent chance...

Some shocking play from both teams. Ngog needs to strenghten up considerably very weak on the ball

Did you hear the 5 commentator's story on where AM got their kit colours from? The jersey is based on the Sunderland one. When they went over in the early 1900's, there was no Sunderland shorts so they got Blackburn shorts instead. :pac:

Juventus' jersey is based on the Notts County strip!

Great save from our best player this season. Only for him.

What an incredible reaction save, the ball had gone over before I even knew what happened, got to it in a flash.

Yeah, he has made two absolutely crucial tackles. Seems very strong and quick.
