Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sorry Boomdocker but there was a vote, and its to much hassle to start that again. Reports are, from a few on boards, that they have improved.

Everyone has good and bad points for suppliers, I put up 6 and these guys were the winners. I even posted up alternatives during the poll but no one was available to try out. Thanks though, sorry it's too late.

no worries, hope it works out good for you guys

I'm afraid I have to ask more questions...
    Carvalho wrote:
Measuring the torso length from the bottom of the collar to the hem at the bottom of the jersey size large jersey gives a 61cm, then add 4cm length for each size up or down, so an XL is 65cm and XXL 69cm. The best advise is that if someone is an XL chest but less than 6’1 then they should go for an 11- (minus) and if they are an XXL chest and less than 6’3 they should go for a size XXL- or XXL--.

Any idea if the length quoted is at the front or back of the jersey? Reason I ask is my (nicely fitting) size L Lusso jersey (42" chest, 36" waist) measures 77cm collar to hem at the back and 59cm collar to hem at the front.

I have e-mailed Nicole about this, will know by tomorrow.

Here are the final designs, all approved, enjoy.

Round of Applause to Daragh_ who pulled all this together.

Anyone who has not got an e-mail yet should PM me again, just in case.

On a separate note, I can't actually remember the time I called for the submissions but I'll wrap it up Tuesday(27/4/10), I'll get the prices out Wednesday night, I'll send my bank a/c details and paypal details at the same time. Then I'll give till Monday(3/5/10) to give everyone time to sort out payment, make minor changes and I'll place the order that day.

That way they should be here before the end of June.

I said in an earlier post about getting changes made to the sizes for slight different fits on people:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=65544473&postcount=27

I didn't know wether the adjustments I mentioned referred to the front or back, here is the answer:
That was measures from the front, if you need anything further please let me know.

Carvalhos words, not mine before someone points out anything.

Can we order the older design too? (I kind of prefer the older stuff but the shorts are crap quality)

Of course, PM me your e-mail and I'll send you the form.
The new and the old jersey are ordered on the same form.

Oh right, the measurement I sent you was measured at the back, shall I re-measure and send on the front size?

Just looking at the finalised designs.
Am I correct in thinking that the shorts will be the medium weight shorts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,440 ✭✭✭cdaly_

The order spreadsheet has a choice of "Bib shorts (light-weight)" and "Bib shorts (medium-weight)"...

You could be, I have to check with Nicola at Carvalho as to wether or not the print line round the edge will hit the inside panelling she referred to

This was because I didn't know at the time that there was a dependence on print as to whether you could use both or not. Almost everyone has went for the light version so far. Basically if it hits the inside panelling it will have to be the medium weight shorts. If its not you will get whatever you asked for. I'm checking now and will hopefully know soon.

Whats the difference between light and medium weight bibshorts anyways?

I put down for medium weight (not really knowing what the hell i was at), but if most people went for lightweight then maybe i should change my order to lightweight too...

    see this post here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=65530205&postcount=325

Should sort of explain it. When I know whether there is a choice or not, as I mentioned (in relation to printing), I'll post it up tomorrow.

If anyone has a change of heart just e-mail me with your Boards name in the mail.

Just for info, last time all shorts were Medium weight, which just feel like regular shorts weight to me. I had assumed that the Light weight would be more suitable to warmer countries.

Have to say, I'm getting a little distracted by the sizing info.
I've a s/s xl jersey at home that's 57cm from the bottom of the collar to the hem.
I'm an xl jersey on the Carvahlo sizing chart, and according to their advice I should be going for a xl- as I'm less than 6'1'' (6'0'')
It's just that 61cm seems quite long, or is it just that my current jersey is shorter than regular jerseys?
Would be interested to know what others have chosen.

You can put down two minus signs if you want

ie " XL--" to bring it another 4cm up, remember as well this is measured from the front

    L is a 40 inch chest. XL is 42. I'm 6-1/6-2 and I'm getting a L :)

Should we have got a reply/confirmation when individual order forms were sent back? I wasn't expecting anything until Wednesday night when you send out PayPal/Bank details, but now I'm paranoid I've ended up in your spam folder :)

Does anyone know hoe the old sizing system relates to the new one?

My old boards jerseys are 9, is that now medium?

Trying to decide whether to go for an S or an M - I want it to be a nice snug race fit...

    dither dither...

I think I will order a S and also M, should easily shift the one that doesn't fit on here.

Mine is a 9 too, it's a bit long for me so I'm going for an S in the new jersey. The length is ~ 59cm measured front from collar to bottom. My liquigas jersey (much nicer length, more "race fit") is ~55cm collar to bottom. If the S measures the same then that is what I'm going for.

EDIT: MEasure from bottom of collar, which is ~ 52cm (liquigas, Nalini) and 55cm (old boards jersey). So the new small should be about 53cm?

everyone will get a confirmation e-mail tonight after midnight, if you didn't get one by the morn, then panic.

So here is the dealio with the shorts:
You will only be able to get those in the medium weight lycra due to the design around the cuff at the bottom of the shorts.

Anyone with lightweight, I'll switch to medium or if you don't want them, just mail me with your boards name.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 25,190 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

This will make me sound like an ass but please read the following before sending me the spreadheet:

    FILL IT IN COMPLETELY

That includes name, boards name and sizing notes, I have well in excess of 100 different orders and I do not have time to take everyones details out of the e-mail and put them into the spreadsheet and double check. If you have a question or are unsure fair enough, but comments, notes, etc. should be left in the notes section of the spreadsheet. I realise its not the clearest but send a question if you are unsure. If you do not have MS excel, either download OpenOffice or use google docs.

mod edit: removed e-mail address, PM CramCycle (or a mod) if you want it
