Well what phones have you had since your first phone?

    1. Motorola E770V - Vodafone's custom made Motorola phone. I loved that phone, it had video calling, a vga camera, could run java applications and best of all it had 3G. Brilliant phone at the time.

    mot_e770v.gif

    2. Motorola V3XX

Possibly the smallest and best looking phone that i've owned. Features wise it was the same as the E770v but had a 1.3MP camera and a high resolution screen.
    motorolav3xx.jpg

    3. Nokia N95 8GB

Words can't describe how great this phone was (Still is to be honest). Absolutely brilliant. Iconic phone from Nokia to be honest. Probably the best they've released smartphone wise. 5MP Camera (That outclasses my current phone as a matter of fact), GPS, High Res Display, 8GB Storage. Simply one of the best phones ever released.

    nokia-n95-8gb-combo1.jpg&ei=iX7QS_i1FMKA-ga9rYnPDw&sa=X&oi=image_landing_page_redirect&ct=legacy&usg=AFQjCNFG2AbxDmizjICE8vWwvPbeeBaoEQ
    4. Nokia N97 Mini

Not as terrible as everyone made it out to be but I got rid of this phone after one week. Exact same as the N95 8GB but with a slow unresponsive touchscreen that let it down. The phone itself was absolutely brilliant hardware wise but the OS that it ran was terribly unsuited to a touchscreen phone.

    5. HTC Desire

Absolutely brilliant. Best looking screen that i've laid eyes on and running on the best OS out right now.

Started off with a Siemens C25:
    siemens_c25.jpg

When I managed to break the aerial on that I moved to a Siemens M35:
    Siemens_M35.jpg

After that I got a Sony Ericsson T610 which I loved:
    sony-ericsson-t610-mobile-phone.jpg

Then I got a Sharp 902, which was only so-so:
    sh902_00.jpg

At about the same time I got a Nokia 6021 from my job for work use:
    nokia-6021-00.jpg

I finally upgraded my Sharp to a decent phone, and got myself a Nokia N95:
    nokia_n95.jpg

I used that till it started dying on me, so I then got a Nokia N97:
    n97-free.jpg

That died on me recently, so I'm currently using a Nokia E63 that my gf had spare:
    nokia-e63.jpg

I also got an upgrade for my work phone a month or 2 ago, so I now have a HTC Tattoo:

    Ah, fond memories.

    ericsson_r380.jpg

The Ericsson R380 - what a phone. Touch screen, HSCD data (being able to get your e-mail on your phone way back in 2001 WAS pretty impressive). It came with a belt-pouch and was like having a brick tied to your waist.

    Then had one of these:
    nokia_6310i_add_100.jpg

(the gold one, not the pink). I recall using this as a modem with the laptop when I was on-call to dial into work at a blistering 40kbps or so.

This one was good, the Ericsson R520:

    r520w.jpg

This one was a bit of a turkey:

    h475.jpg

I didn't hold on to it for too long. Speaking of turkeys, this has to be up there:

    xda_atom_pure1_1.jpg
I paid 750 Euro for it and sold it 10 months later for 200 Euro. :o

    Then went onto this:

    Nokia_6300.jpg

Followed by the one phone I held onto for 2 years, which is unheard of:

    iphone_home.gif

And finally to the current phone:

The memories, so many in the last 15 years or so!,

I started with a Sagem 815 which was awful but great at the time

    719.gif

Went to here to a Vodafone MN1
    Maxon_3204small.jpg

Then here to a Sony J6 which is the best non colour phone I've used by far.
    41YYQNWDPXL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

Then my first foray into the colour market in 2002 and real tune ringtones made up for the ugly look of this SE T300 with it's plug in camera
    sonyericsson_t300.jpg

Then to a SE T610, another great phone I got in 2003
    sony-ericsson-t610-mobile-phone.jpg

Then to a K700i which was a good phone but prone to bugs...

    sonyericsson_k700i_main_4.jpg

So I got it changed to a K750i under warranty in 2005 - another great phone
    1614241_1.jpg

Then on to the beautiful w910i in early 2007
    sony-ericsson-w910i-shinobu-walkman-phone.jpg

Then in second half of 2008 I went on to a N95 8GB - an amazing phone, always hated Nokia but this phone I loved - really can't think of a bad point.
    nokia-n95-8gb-nam.jpg

And a few months ago, got the HTC HD2:

My first ever phone, it was good when i was 13, but looking back, it was a piece of crap! Seimens c35.
    67480.jpg

Good ole 3310, the best phone ever!
    nokia-33101.jpg

This phone is still going strong in my family, my Dad uses it as his business phone. Nokia 3510i.
    nokia_3510i.jpg

Nokia 3200, was a good phone that lasted up until the power button broke off.
    1245358530_Nokia%203200.jpg

The nokia 6680, what can i say, this phone was absolutley amazing, i would still have it if it didn't randomly stop working.
    nokia-6680-1-1.jpg

The sony Ericsson W850i, was a pretty good phone, pretty good for music.
    W850FA.jpg

The nokia 6500, This phone is still sitting on my desk, locked to 3 and not bothered getting it unlocked.
    nokia-6500.jpg

Samsung S8300, it was ok, i got bored of it pretty fast.
    samsung-ultratouch-s8300-8mpix-touchscreen-slider-1.jpg

And finally, the Nokia N97, I know that there are alot of people who don't like it, but i love it. It will be hard for me to give it up for another phone.
    n97-black.jpg

wow this was weird looking back on all my phones!

Sweet jesus, I wouldn't be able to name them all...

Around 80-100 phones since I got my first one (7 years ago it was a Nokia 3510i).

    I buy and sell/trade around a lot though :)

That's about one a month!

    Anyway...
Siemens M35 - "Nice phone!" was a common response when I produced this :D
    93.jpeg

Jumped on the Nokia bandwagon with a 3510, a great phone that lasted me for years as a backup.
    nokia-3510.jpg

Nokia 6610 (wow, a colour screen!). It died when I fell into the sea with it :p
    pic1.jpg

Nokia 6101 which constantly broke and I eventually just gave up on.
    Nokia6101_1.jpg

Annoyed with Nokia after that, I moved to a Sagem my411x, the most horrible phone ever made, ever. I disowned it after the alarm failed to go off one morning in the Alps, causing me to miss a bus and costing me €200+ in a taxi.
    Sagem_my411X_1.jpg

A hasty return back to Nokia with the 6300, a wonderful phone.
    Nokia_6300.jpg

Upgraded to an E51 only because I needed 3G and VOIP. I actually had two of these, the first one broke after a month, the second was fine and I absolutely loved it.
    n3.jpg

I wanted to try the touchscreen thing, hence my current T-Mobile G2 Touch (eh, I mean HTC Hero. I just liked the black colour :D)

Nokia 3210 - My first phone, got it in 4th or 5th class. Broke in the bottom of my schoolbag.
    nokia_3210.jpg

Nokia 3330 - It had WAP!
    nokia-3330.jpg

Sharp GX10i - First "picture phone" I had, stupid vodafone software limited it.
    imgSharp%20GX10i1.jpg

Nokia N-Gage - Couldn't turn it down at 110 euro with 80 credit.
    nokia-n-gage-big.jpg

    Nokia 6630 - Still a Brilliant Phone!
    nokia_6630.jpg

Nokia N92 - Had proper digital tv, sky sports an all! My brother threw a remote control at me and broke the keypad side in half!
    n92.jpg

Nokia 1600 - Just bought this for the free credit and huge battery life. Its in Mexico now.
    nokia-1600.jpg

Samsung f700h - Had the potential to bre a great phone, dodgy software let it down.
    samsung-f700.jpg

Nokia N78 - Nice phone, but I was sent an Asian version with no EU warrany, so i sent it back after a few days.
    nokia-n782.jpg

Nokia N85- Really nice phone, expensive, but worth it.

    et28_3.jpg

I think I started off with Ericsson phones, had a few of them but the only one I can think of is this one.

    pic1.jpg

After two or three Ericsson phones, I switched to Motorola, with the V300. This was a cheap phone in it's time and I still smile when I remember when I was walking down Patrick Street and someone asked me to take a survey. When I shook my head, the guy turned to his friend and said something about my "expensive flip-top phone"!

    E1000_75.jpg

My next phone was another Motorola, the E1000. Quite a lot of features packed into one little device, it was fine but some of the keys began to stick after a while, especially the joystick.

    Motorola_Razr_V3_Razor_Rebate_Form_For_Black_Or_Silver.jpg

Currently using this one, have had it for years now. I don't need my phone to do anything but be a phone, and I have no desire to get something more modern/fancier.

Might add pictures later, if and when i stop being lazy.

    Startac 70.
Basic UI even for 1998. Not sure if you could even look up a number when texting. NiMh battery was horrible, made the phone look cheap...and made me wish I’d bought the Startac 85 instead.

    V3688.
Big Price. Tiny everything else. Vibrate setting on first one stopped working. Was replaced. No key 1 on that one kept sticking.

    Timeport.
At the time phones that worked in the US and here were relatively scarce.
    Decent, uncomplicated phone.

    Nokia 8210.
    Just too small.

    Motorola V8088.
Pacific rim model only IIRC, (Blue)
Light on front colorcoded according to caller group.
Gave it to my girlfriend. She stopped being my girlfriend.
She offered to give it back, but it was so scratched up I didn’t want it back.

    Ericsson R520M.
Ah, loved the silver finish, gadgety blue backlight.
Some nice features, but nothing really useful at the time.
That was about it. Gave it to a friend on extended loan…
..they didn’t want to give it back. We later fell out for an unrelated reason anyway.

    Nokia 5510.
Don’t know why I bought it TBH.
    Sold it a week later.

    Nokia 6310.
Hated it. UI seemed very clunky after the R520. Got rid very quick.

    SE T68I
Traded 6310 in against it. CPW employee looked at me like I was mad.
Was the best phone I’d had at the time (T68I, not 6310). Everything just seemed to work nicely on it, never gave me a hint of trouble.
Add on Camera was an overpriced afterthought though.

    Siemens SL55.
Tiny. Basic. Nicer to look at than use. Too basic in the end. All i really remember is female coworkers
going 'ooh isn't it pretty'. Yes, not the most 'manly' of phones i'm affraid.

Panasonic X70. First (inegrated) Camera phone.
Didn’t seem to have this one for long… not bad, not great…think the Camera was considered good at the time..

    Nokia 6230.
Remember the UI being fairly clunky. Soon coaxed away from it by the hype of (early) 3G

    Nokia 6630.
Buggy VF software. Went back. Was servicable, but unspectacular.
DRM only music playback was annoying, intrustive.
    Early 3G was pretty horrible.

    Motorola V3X
6630 was improperly secured in a downpour.
    Was due upgrade anyway.
VF didn’t have anything better on offer at the time.
Rancid phone. UI horrible. Like one of the MOTs i owned 4 years earlier
with a bit of color thrown in.
Browser was horriffic. Only thing it could connect to was an error message.
Cable connecting phone to screen failed more than once got very sick of very quick Tied with one other phone for 'worst i've owned yet'.

    SE K800I
Another winner from (Sony)Ericsson. Uncomplicated, easy to use UI. Decent battery life.A little basic, but everything worked perfectly. Still see the odd K800 around. ..fell out of favour with me because it was a bit too basic, but still one of the better phones I’ve had.

    N95 8GB.
Battery life was horrible to start off with. After Nokia sorted firmware out, phone redeemed itself. Smybian was a little slow, but overall, possibly the best phone I’ve ever had, aside from the bulk.

    N97

    ***SIGH****

More storage space than the N95, the tilt and slide feature is nice, and the d pad on the left side seems a lot more practical than the right….. but still a TURD of a phone. Screen isn’t just resistive, it’s obstructive. Inbuilt browser is horrible and it can’t properly handle a third party browser.

Hangs, crashes, and sometimes freezes, requiring the battery to be removed. Resets solve problems temporarily, but they then come back worse than ever. In reality it feels more like a 5800 with a few things bolted on. So why the price difference?

First time I ever rang VF specifically to tell them my phone is rubbish, and the first time i ever felt like just flinging a phone down the stairs.

    N900.
Too early to make a final decision.

Portrait broswing IS possible with a trick on the hardware keyboard, but portrait touchscreen apparently not. Lots of applications and updates already but connecting to some servers to download particular updates/applications slow or routinely fails.

Lack of inbuilt MMS annoying. Will sort out eventually…but see part about slow updates. More stable than the N97 (wouldn’t be hard mind you) but only have it two days… Maemo has potential, but I don’t think it will ever really have mass appeal. Due an upgrade from VF anyway… so right now, this thing is a stopgap.

I started off my reign of terror with a Siemens C45:

A Sagem My V-65 was to follow:

    Then a Motorola V250:

    Then A Motorola V1050 - My first 3G phone:

Then my first Nokia, the 6151
    Nokia-6151.jpg
For some reason I downgraded to a Samsung E250V - I think it was because it cost €59 and was slidey.

And now, I am using the Nokia E71:

For some bizarre reasons, I sometimes used the Nokia 6310i. Maybe because it is the greatest phone ever built. I'm happy to still own it.

As for my next upgrade, I was thinkign Maybe the Nokia E72, though I'm still happy with what I have:
