Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
I am running Vista 64 bit ... 6 gb ram.

Apps run ok, but some older ones wont run - like the original doom ...
hangs sometimes with a segmentation fault.

is this due to a 64 bit OS ?

Old applications could access any part of memory they wanted too.

Modern operating systems use protected mode, applications have a sandbox of memory, a strict range of memory they can access.
If they stray out of that range, a segmentation fault is thrown.

You might try messing with the "compatibility settings" of the executable file.
Right click on the windows icon, and set it to Windows 98 or similar.
Might give it more access to the memory space.
