Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,

Could anyone recommend a setup (camcorder, tripod, playback software?) for capturing league race finishing positions? No real budget in mind for camcorder but probably don't want to go too much above €250. This is one of the options we're looking at - Panasonic SDR-S50. Any advice from people with hands on experience would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Sorry no experience, but I was curious and found the Casio EX-F1 (£768.50 from amazon.co.uk) which is an interesting alternative to a camcorder, if a little pricey. It does very high speed recording, up to 1200fps.

At some of our league races, people use the video on their phones. Seems to do the job.

THE GOOD: Very good image stabilization; well-designed; manual controls.

CNET: THE BAD: Low-resolution LCD; dated user interface; poor low-light video; no external mic, headphone jacks.

THE BOTTOM LINE: The Panasonic SDR-S50 standard-definition camcorder is worth considering for its manual controls and powerful zoom lens in a very compact body--not video
    quality.

IMO: check out the crative vado HD. AFAIK theres no tripod mount but you could easily find a suitable 3rd party one.
