what is the best package

Looking for information on the best package available at present.
I am a fixed line customer and need to reduce my bill as I am unemployed.
I am currently paying 71 Euro a month or thereabouts.
For that I get 8mb download and free national landline calls.
Preferably the package would be uncontended broadband and have some national calls thrown in. Or some kind of VOIP setup.
any advice would be appreciated.

for the same package with utv it's 55.99 per month, although 5.99 more for unlimited download.

I'm with utv and cannot fault them myself.

I just rang them, same line can be used, they seem a bit cheaper alright.

The only uncontended supplier of DSL (phone line) is Magnet. Might be worth checking price and packages available.

Is Eircom's "NGB" not uncontended?
