Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I was concerned of the slow booting time of my PC, and I was blaming my new fresh install of Win7.
However, I have realised that the PC takes around 40 sec even before Win7 start to boot.

Any ideas of why could be that slow? I have disabled all the unused peripherals in the BIOS but still boots pretty slowly

    Thanks

You could try setting the POST checking phase to the minimum available level

    Thanks for your reply,

I went to the bios to do that, but it could not find any menu that would indicate that function.

could it be that my gigabyte mobo does not have that ?

    Cheers

Try a boot with the card removed to see if it is still slow, my guess is the card is slowing down the post.
