Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for a cheap (good value) esata enclosure for my old MacBook Pro sata hard drive.
Anyone know a decent place to get one? Either online or in Dublin city.
The only one Elara have in stock is this - link

You might find a USB only one easier to find; I have 3 x 2.5 SATA enclosures from ebay, they might have cost < 10€ each. Sometimes the leads/socket (not sure which) seem to give trouble. They power off 2 USB sockets.

    Thanks for the reply.

I might try to use if for video editing so the esata connection is a must.

If you have Firewire (don't most recent camcorders etc need FW?) you might consider something like this one It looks like a solid bit of kit anyway. Technically USB2.0 is capable of faster transfer than FW, but I think the FW plugs are prob better than the tiny USB ones.

[edit]the item I linked to above is a 3.5" enclosure, but I think with a bit of padding a 2.5" would fit

I found this one for a very good price so think I'll go for it - http://cgi.ebay.ie/2-5-USB2-0-eSATA-combo-to-SATA-HDD-Enclosure-CASE-New_W0QQitemZ260488181905QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Collectables_HardDriveEnclosures_RL?hash=item3ca64e3891
