Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great penos. And Nani. What a finish and run for the peno.

He's frustrating as fook sometimes but he has genuine quality and has turned around my opinion of him. Brilliant. :D

Very soft peno there. He was waiting to get any contact, then falls over like the little pussy that he is. Christ i can't stand him.

Just stop. He was shaping to shoot, and on the back and a big Honduran man coming in from behind, it was a foul. Love how Andy Gray raised questions over that but when Aaron Lennon went for a blatent dive he said "O'Shea might have just caught him."

Is today the day Nani comes of age? When we need him most he has delivered.

I believe he was saying they were two good penos and the keeper was not at fault for either...

What exactly is a "soft peno"?

He had his hands all over him and bundled him over. It doesn't have to be a leg snapper to be cheating

Nani "came of age" against Arsenal.

The question for him next season is whether or not he can maintain the levels consistantly that we need him to. In the second half of this season, he's shown himself to be worthy of another season at United.

Funny .. I was talking/arguing with a pool fan 2 weeks ago and he was saying that relying on the likes of Scholes and Giggs showed how poor a squad united were . .

    Scholes 1-0 City
    Giggs 2 penos v Spurs . .

You cant buy bottle or experience . . Trust a pool fan to not understand what it takes to win a league . . . :D

Oh . . 4 mins of injury time. No doubt if it was 1-1 it would be classed fergie time . .

3 players really stood out for me today

    Scholes
    Evans

    and the my MOTM Nani

what a game he had today, nearly on par with the Arsenal game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Giggs might have scored two penos, but frankly he's been **** today. Did what he needed to do at the spot though and that itself is invaluable.

Nani is developeinga lovely habit of saving his best performnces for the really big games. I can live with that.

it was one hand that was on nani's right shoulder for a nano second still enough for a flee like him to fall but it still was a peno

So we're all agreed it was a foul and the end result was a legitimate penalty

Vidic has been better than Evans imo. ANOTHER huge performance from the Serb. Scholes has yet again been outstanding.

Modric has really looked good out there i think. Inexperience from Bale and Assou-Ekotto have cost them, still, i fancy them to beat City next week and take 4th.

Funny . . I always remember giggsy missing his first senior peno in a league cup game (think it was against southampton) and have always thought he was a bad peno taker cause of it . .

Im sure not everyone agrees but thats what i beleive anyways but he most definently did not have hands all over nani like someone had said would you not agree with that?

Good performance and good win. Scholes and Nani were outstanding, and Nani will deservedly get the praise, but a special note for Evans who didn't put a foot wrong the whole game. Really looks like the future of Uniteds central defence.

Ha, me too. I remember he ws too cocky with that one, he soloed the ball all the way to the box from the centre circle.

Delighted with that. Was very worried when they equalised but we kept on pushing on and Nani showed what he can do.

    Get in!!

Its mad isnt it as Im not sure if hes missed many penos since, but I always get a shudder when he steps up . . Must be on of those "first impressions" things . . :o

Great response to spurs getting it back to 1-1. Nani was superb towards the end. Great penalties from Giggs under pressure.

Exactly what im saying, he still pulled him back even if it was for a nani second () and the fact that nani looked like a sniper shooting from row Z hit him, he was still pulled back therefore it was a foul, any clearer now :pac:
