Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chain Catcher: group order (closed)

    I am going to order one of these from Dave2pvd.

    You can see more details here and here.

    Cost is 18e and another 4e for postage.
    Dave says he can post 10 for around 6e.

    I am going to get two of these. If enough people are interested, I can organise a group buy and we can split postage.

    If you are interested, reply to this thread. I will get the delivery sent to me and people can then collect from me, in Dublin. Questions about the chain catcher itself should go to Dave in either of the previous threads.

    Once we have enough orders, I will go back to Dave and get a proper postage cost. I will pay Dave directly and will collect from whoever else is ordering.

    That's right, blorg. The N-Gear Jump Stop is your friend. I would prefer that device to the Deda Dog Fang any day.

    What's the issue with band-on as a matter of interest? Cos that's what I've got I think (any other Planet X owners want to chip in!?)

    Well, it might work. Might need a couple of washers to space it off the band a little, though. I honestly don't know if it is the right length or not. But you can always shorten the device, as 6061-T6 is easy to cut/file.

    Hi,

    Thanks for adding me to the order.

    Shimano FD = ? (I can just about change a tube + brake pads so have no idea what FD means)

    How will I pay you for the chain catcher?

    FD = Front derailleur.
    Payment will be by cash to me in person, but no need to do so until I get the stuff. Dunno yet when that will be.
