Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Refereeing

I am a long time mma fan (over 10 years) but have never been actively involved in the sport. Today I am too old, unfit and busy to start it up.
I was wondering if refereeing was an option?
Where are Irish mma refs sourced from?
Is there a body that oversees the refs or is it done at promotion/club level?
Can someone like me with no martial arts training be considered for ref?

Any advice / contacts would be appreciated.

I think there is a course coming up to be a BJJ ref. That would be a good first step but I'll say its never too late to train. Even if you dont do great training hours of rolling will help you understand the submissions. I'd be wary of someone with no experience reffing. What may look to you to be innocuous could be a choke and you may not step in time and the person on the receiving end could have damage done to them.
