Best broadband deal in Galway?

    Hey guys, anyone have a recommendation for which company I should get broadband from? The budget is around the €60 mark. It's going to be used a lot for gaming and I've heard eircom isn't great for that. I was going pick based on this list but I thought I'd try and find out a few peoples opinions on what ISP is the best value. Thanks!

    Dunno where you are in Galway but if you're in the city look no further than UPC.

    Depends on what you want/need, and where you live in Galway.

    UPC would be the fastest/cheapest if you can get them, and if it works (lots of people on boards.ie saying that it doesn't). You can get 30Mb for €50/m

    Other than them, you need a phone line for Magnet, Smart, Eircom etc.
    If you're on an upgraded exchange you can get up to ~ 20Mb for around €48-72/m

    If you not then you can only get up to 7~8Mb for around €40/m

    I should have mentioned, we live in Galway city and we don't have an existing phone line.

    UPC sounds good though!

    Oh yeah, there's 8 of us in this house so a download limit would be a bit of a issue, is there one and if so how big is it?

    UPC = 250GB (though if you pay an extra €50/m they'll give you unlimited)
    Smart = 170GB
    Eircom = Unlimited (though officially 70GB)
    Magnet = Unlimited

    Nb caps listed are for the top packages, lower packages have lower caps.
