    Tried the homeware sections of Tesco and Dunnes (large stores, none), and in the local shop that sells loads of random shíte too, no luck there either.

    Any ideas - northside Dublin preferably

    My favorite ashtray is an old red brick from a garden wall. It's big and heavy and almost impossible to knock over and doubles as a doorstop.

    try the €2 stores i got 4 glass ones in there. most discount stores have them.

    Tescos do them for uner €2, me thinks. Got 2 in Tescos there a while back. They'll be in the same section as the thermos flasks, knives, forks, pots and pans.

    I got one that Urban Outfitters are selling for €10 atm for €1 in a charity shop - they're always worth a look.
