Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Camera recommendations??

Hey all, I'm just really looking for a bit of advice...
I'm heading away traveling soon and am looking for a recommendation for a new camera. I've had my eye on a few different models, mainly the Olympus Tough, Panasonic Lumix and Canon Powershot. The main things that I'm looking for in this camera are durability and battery power, but not at the expense of image quality.
I'm going to be in the middle East for a while (sandy conditions) and at very high, cold altitudes too, and I really need a tough little compact that's not going to cark it on me in as soon as I come into view of Mount Everest.
My budget is 300-400euro, ideally a compact as opposed to an SLR (limited space).
I'd really appreciate anyones input here, it's incredibly important to me that I have a neat wee camera for this trip!!
    Cheers, Ruby

Something like a G9/G10 or as you said on of the tough cameras with a couple of extra batteries or one that runs on AA batteries
