well given the airflow over us is unstable at the moment and the new guidelines set down for save aviation we should ok if it comes over us again
If the ash comes over Ireland again, is it not possible flights will be cancelled again?
Or is the ash not strong enough when it reaches us? We are not very far from iceland though.

Ash will Return over the coming days but will be within limits set down by engine and aircraft manufacturers.

More disruption seems likely for Irish airports over the next 24 hours.

Em basically, oh dear, not looking good between now and Thursday but the possibility of gaps aswell to get planes up. After Thursday things look better with still a Northerly wind but not sourced from Iceland but by the end of the week the source going back to around Iceland again. So it's just a matter of keeping up to date with the news.

What does that last part mean? That by the end of the week it might be an issue again? Or that it should no longer be.

Between now and Thursday, depending on how the ash cloud disperses, concentrations of ash, or the level of activity at the Volcano, there is always a risk of airspace closures. From Thursday we should lose Iceland as a source of the wind which means things should be ok Thursday onward. Toward Sunday the winds may return to coming through Iceland but that's a risk - not a certainty.

Just keep up to date with the latest from the IAA.
